We greatly enjoyed our stay at RESI Stay Heart. The hotel is very nice, clean and modern and provided all the amenities for our party of 5 adults. The room we stayed in was very spacious for Japanese hotel room standards - it was designed more like a studio apartment. It included a small kitchenette and a washer/dryer, plus a few household items that made you feel like you were renting your own apartment in the heart of Kyoto. The wifi worked great, the room was supplied with a dehumidifier (which helped when we did laundry) and there was an onsite laundromat if we needed more. We all slept comfortably and had enough space to spread out/ have our luggage everywhere (5 carry-ons, 3 backpacks). The bathroom was also pretty large with a vanity that allowed for 3 of us girls to get ready at the same time. I am very much a bougie traveler and this place was very clean and put together. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with all our inquires too. I really liked the flexibility to move around freely. My biggest plus is that the hotel worked with us for late check-in as we would be arriving after the front desk closed. They made it super easy for me to have our keys and room ready for when we arrived! Check-out was super easy as well. I love a hassle free stay. In addition, the location is perfect. Just a 7min walk from Kyoto station with plenty of food (Japanese and western)/drink/shopping options all near by. It was also really easy for our Ubers to collect us and drop us off.

The check in process is fast and with a helpful staff at reception. She able to speck little english and allow me to early check in without charges when I arrive the hotel 1.45pm (Subject room availability). The room size is small but it able to fit for 4 of us and have a good walk way. The TV come with Netflixx so you can enjoy some movie. The bathroom come bathtub. The water heater supply a constant hot water. Wifi signal is stable and good speed. The location is very near to Kyoto station by 8 to 10 minutes walk. Nearby is a lot restaurant and convenient store. There is a luggage storeroom with passcode to keep your luggage if you need it. There will be a cooking place and rest place at the lobby entrance side and washing machine area a ground floor.

Great location fairly close to Kyoto station. We got the larger double bed room on the 5th floor which has tons of room for two of us. Having our own washer was great even if we needed to air dry. If that is too slow the dryers worked great down stairs. Yamato transport was able to forward our luggage to the property which was fantastic. Family Mart really close lol. Overall, they had very clear expectations for staying in the room, and a binder with instructions on how to use everything. Still getting used to beds in Japan, but would highly recommend.

A great place to stay, especially if you are a family. Large rooms, comfy beds and amenities. Check-in was a breeze and super helpful. Free wi-fi, full kitchen and laundry on the ground floor was so handy for the travelling family. Free washer and drier was unexpected and very welcome. Staff were really helpful and did everything they could to help out. Locations was also excellent. About 5 min from the station and convenience stores (don't miss the Family Mart which is on the corner just past the hotel).

The process of registering at the central reception was smooth (reception is on the first floor and the lift is small - not good for too much luggage!), both receptionists spoke good English and were polite and very helpful. We were able to leave our luggage at the hostel as we were early for check in. The kitchen/dining area looked well equipped, we ate out so didn’t use the facilities. It was very well located for the bus and train station, and shops and facilities. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
